It’s almost Easter everybody! Have you seen the rows of chocolate eggs piled up high and ready for eating in your local shop? But wait, Easter isn’t all about snacking yourself senseless. It’s also about going to places with your friends and family and enjoying the fresh spring air together.
Fortunately in this beautiful county of Cheshire, there are lots of activities to see and do. Here are our top picks for an unforgettable Easter holiday.
Carden Park Hotel
At Carden’s event station this Easter, we have plenty of egg-citing activities for all the family. Why not try your hand at a speedy Segway or a bit of CHEAP JEEP off road driving to make your half term that extra bit more energetic? Alternatively, take advantage of our other egg-stra special offers. Treat the kids to Little Monkeys Ropes with Zips and a Bunny Basket Hunt for just £30. See our Easter Leaflet 2017 for more details. If a spa day is more your thing, then take a look at our incredible Spring time offers. You do deserve your relaxing time after all!
Make it a holiday by booking a stay in one of our magnificent suites or family rooms. See how much you will feel refreshed in the morning!
Chester Zoo is a national treasure. Holding 15,000 animals in 125 award winning acres, it is one of the biggest zoos in the country. Around Easter time especially, there’s always lots of special activities for the whole family to enjoy. As well as exploring the vast grounds and seeing the wonderful wildlife, you can sign up to watercolour workshops as well as walking and guided tours.
Chester Zoo is an absolute must see. Wotsit the fuzzy penguin chick was born at the zoo on Easter Sunday last year. What’s going to happen this year? Have you considered our Chester Zoo break?
Blue Planet Aquarium
Blue Planet Aquarium in Ellesmere Port is a relatively recent phenomenon. Less than 20 years old, it is home to over 100 living displays and is the largest aquarium in the North West. If you’ve not been before (and how could you have not!), you must check out the incredible shark collection which is one of the largest in Europe.
Last year, there was the extremely successful Jurassic Easter. This year it’s Explorers Easter: Myths And Legends Of The Deep. How exciting! Sound good? Find out more here.
Beeston Castle is a family favourite in Cheshire and it’s hard to argue why, with spectacular, unrivalled views of the wonderful Welsh mountains. At 4, 000 years old and boasting a 40 acre woodland, it is one of the finest and most dramatic medieval castles in the whole of the UK.
Spanning the whole Easter weekend, Beeston Castle is holding the exciting Easter Adventure Quest this year. Adventures full of code cracking and crazy characters from the past.
Wirral Egg Run “Tribute Ride”
Healthy as well as heart-warming, the Wirral Egg Run “Tribute Ride” is well worth a cycle or just a watch this Easter. Grab your bike or your camera and get ready for 20 miles of non stop fun action, starting from New Brighton at 11:00 and finishing at Claremont Farm by the Clatterbridge roundabout. The run, since being set up in 2013, is steadily becoming more and more popular, which is great for all the local charities it supports.
Last year, over £4500 was collected for charity. How much are they going to raise this year?
Planning a Summer wedding? Why not give your Easter a bit more of a spring in your step and come to our Wedding Open Weekend on the 25th and 26th of March?
