To apply for this role you will need: 

  • As a Commis Chef you do not need to have any previous experience of working in the hospitality sector but some knowledge of food and a passion for cooking will be advantageous.
  • We will support you to achieve an NVQ qualification in partnership with a local training provider.
  • Enthusiasm, punctuality and a can-do attitude to learning new skills is essential.
  • The ability to motivate yourself and others around you.
  • In time you will be encouraged to support menu development and bring ideas to the menus that focus on fresh seasonal dishes suitable for our hotel guests.
  • You will be responsible and maintain a safe and hygienic workplace.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and perform calmly under pressure.
  • A stable CV is a necessity.

The hotel is situated in a rural area so ideally, candidates should be able to drive or live locally.

Working up to 40 hours each week, 5 days over 7 to including weekends and evenings

Salary: £8.36-£8.91 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends

Experience:

  • Chef: 1 year (preferred)
