This role will report to the IT Manager and you will be responsible for supporting the company’s IT infrastructure & desktop systems. You will provide technical support for the client’s applications and network components. This will include liaising with the outsourced infrastructure provider, plus supporting the internal IT systems.

Main Skills Required:

  • VMWare experience
  • Active Directory experience
  • A Team Player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent general IT based knowledge and experience

Specific Tasks

  • Conduct daily checks on all business-critical hardware
  • Conduct daily checks on backup infrastructure
  • Maintain asset inventory
  • Assist 3rd parties with access to maintain and support applications
  • Support & maintain VMWare environment
  • Support technical relationship with infrastructure partner
  • Assist in maintaining PCI Compliance and GDPR Compliance of the IT environment
  • Maintain a weekly task list
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Active Directory Administration
  • Networking

IT Security (Cyber and Physical)

  • Support the implementation of company IT Security policy
  • CCTV System administration
  • Monitor user access

Application Support

  • Windows Server application support (e.g. IIS, Exchange, Office 365, SQL Server)
  • Desktop support (Windows 10)
  • Application Support and maintaining relationships with 3rd parties
  • Assist with software deployments to production environments

Network Support

  • Support & maintain the Network environment
  • Maintain an IP address inventory of the network devices
  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: £19,000.00-£20,000.00 per year


  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends

Ability to commute/relocate

  • Chester, Cheshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)


  • IT Support: 1 year (preferred)


  • UK Drivers Licence (preferred)
