Job Purpose / Summary:

Our Spa Receptionists are responsible for looking after our guests on arrival in the spa.  They need to be given the correct information to ensure that they enjoy their experience. This will also involve taking payments and upselling treatments, retail and repeat bookings.

  • Take responsibility for guest arrival in the spa.
  • Ensure all itinerary details are correct
  • Take payments
  • Perform checks on the following days business
  • To be fully conversant with the Spa’s offering in all departments
  • Report any unusual occurrences immediately to your line manager
  • To be able to work shifts with maximum flexibility as and when necessary
  • To carry out any other duties as imposed by the needs of the business and requested by a senior manager

 

FINANCIAL/COMMERCIAL

  • To carry out accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly stock takes of retail and guest supplies
  • To carefully manage stock usage and minimise wastage

 

HUMAN RESOURCE

  • To attend departmental induction and company orientation training
  • To support excellent working relationships within the department
  • To follow the SOP’s for all leave (holiday, un-paid, sickness,)
  • To attend and contribute in all training booked by management
  • To adhere to company dress code and to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE/OPERATIONAL

  • To ensure accurate entry of guest and appointment detail when booking additional services for guests
  • Attend and contribute in monthly departmental meetings

 

SALES AND MARKETING

  • To be aware of all sales and marketing activity and positively promote where appropriate
  • Achieve daily upsell targets in treatments and retail

 

IT SYSTEMS

  • Maintain data integrity of any electronic stock control system, point of sale, and SpaSoft

 

HEALTH & SAFETY/LEGAL

  • To carry out and log daily H&S checks in relation to the changing rooms and relaxation rooms
  • Ensure that all departmental equipment used is maintained and in good working order
  • To always use the correct cleaning materials and in the correct manner at all times as laid down by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, (COSHH) Regulations 1988 and maintain your department COSHH Register
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times
  • Proactively support the Health and Safety Policy of Carden Park Spa in conjunction with the Health & Safety at Work Act
  • Comply with the Fire Safety Policy of Carden Park
  • To follow first aid procedures in the event of dealing with an accident
  • To identify, deal with and alert the manager to any H&S issue
  • Attend and contribute to Health & Safety Meetings as required
