Enjoy a celebration of Chester’s Roman heritage as the traditional Saturnalia Parade takes over‚ the streets.
The streets will be lit up with torches as the event – which came about as a‚ celebration of the feast of Saturn – gets underway. It was traditionally a time of celebration and gift-giving so understandably was very popular!
Before the parade starts, take the children to make their own lanterns at the Grosvenor Museum (booking essential) before watching the Roman legion procession.
