The Easter holidays are just around the corner and we are sure many parents are asking the same question ‘How do I entertain the children?’.
Here at Carden we are surrounded by many fun places to visit and explore in Cheshire so we thought we would highlight five of our favourite.
This is a firm favourite with Carden Park visitors and just 15 minutes from the hotel. Choose from over 40 delicious ice cream and sorbet flavours, enjoy the outside activities or spend time in Daisy’s playbarn! Plus the play area is great to run off some steam after an ice-cream filled afternoon.
A must for a family day out. After their recent animal count Chester Zoo is now home to over 11,000 animals from over 400 different species. In addition to the beautiful animals the zoo was the influence for the recent television programme Our Zoo and is one of the world’s leading conservation centres.
Watch the sharks be fed in the aquatheatre shows, walk underneath a sting ray in the underwater walkway or see how many ‘Nemos’ you can spot. The Blue Planet Aquarium has the largest collection of sharks in Europe.
With free entry and stunning surroundings Chester Cathedral is a great attraction to start your visit to Chester. For the thrill seekers there is the Cathedral at Height experience where you have a behind the scenes tour of the Cathedral and get to climb to the roof and see the City of Chester in all it’s glory with panoramic views across the City and beyond.
Shop until you drop. Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet is perfect for all the ‘back to school’ equipment you may need. Plus with the Coliseum just around the corner it is great fun for this children too with a cinema and bowling.
