When staying at Carden Park, we want our guests to have the best experience possible. Whether it’s enjoying our fun outdoor activities‚ or visiting the fantastic attractions in the local area, you’ll leave Carden feeling energised and happy.
This month, we’re bringing you highlights of a brilliant‚ local‚ attraction: Blue Planet Aquarium.
One of the aquarium’s highlights is the moving underwater walkway that carries you through the heart of the tanks. You’ll come face to face with sharks as tropical fish and rays swim overhead on your journey‚ through the 70 metre tunnel.
There are many exciting areas to explore in the aquarium, from the Flooded Forest to Amazing Amphibians. Visit darkened caves, Mangrove Swamp and Lake Malawi ‚€œ all recreated carefully to replicate the real habitats of its inhabitants ‚€œ before stopping off for a browse in the gift shop.
Want to learn more? Find out about the‚ creatures like piranha’s, electric eels and frogs during the animals feeds and talks. Plus there are at least three shows daily at the Aquatheatre where you can watch divers among the fish and sharks and a presenter will tell you everything you want to know.
On sunny days, enjoy a picnic at the outdoor Pirate Playground and Otter enclosure where, if you arrive at the right time, you’ll even get to watch them eat their lunch!
Throughout February half term, the Blue Planet Aquarium are putting on a shark spectacular! Fintastic February celebrates the arrival of the two newest Lemon sharks where you can experience animal encounters, fun games for the children and a shark themed trail around the aquarium. Plus, enjoy a special Valentine’s Day event on 14th February where talks about ‘romance’ in the natural world and treats on the day will guarantee you a fantastic day out.
You’ll find the Blue Planet Aquarium just thirty minutes away from Carden Park. To find out more, visit their website:‚ www.blueplanetaquarium.com
