Each summer, Grosvenor Park in Chester hosts Open Air Theatre events that attract thousands of visitors from the local area and even further afield. - What is Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre?
We are an award winning open air theatre in Chester‚„s beautiful Grosvenor Park. Produced by Chester based arts organisation Storyhouse (who will run the new ‚£37m cultural centre of the same name), the theatre stages 3 plays, all performed by the same cast. It is the country‚„s most successful open air theatre outside of London.
- Who does Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre cater for?
Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre offers something for everyone. Each year, families in their thousands enjoy our children‚„s shows, performed with song, dance and music, while theatre buffs can see some of the finest works performed in our unique in-the-round theatre. Plus, people who want to enjoy a balmy summer‚„s eve with a picnic and bottle of fizz can do so watching a hilarious comedy.

This summer, we are doing a brand new adaptation of Clive King‚„s classic children‚„s story Stig of the Dump, Shakespeare‚„s hilarious romp The Two Gentlemen of Verona and his enchanting comedy As You Like It.
