Cheshire’s Annual Tourism Awards took place on Thursday 23rd November 2017, with #teamcarden up for the big prize – Cheshire Hotel of the Year.

In anticipation of the great prize, the team dressed in their best outfits, embraced the evening with the glitz and glamour of the ball and made their way over to Chester Racecourse.

Much anticipation and excitement ensued, mixing with Cheshire’s finest tourism attractions, museums and the hospitality sector, Carden Park was delighted to be announced as the winner of the prestigious award ‘Cheshire Hotel Of The Year’. Carden Park will now compete with other regions for the coveted national prize.

With an amazing year already recorded at Cheshire’s Country Estate, with the opening of the new Morgan’s Bar terrace, the launch of the Bridle and Stirrup coffee hubs, the award for ‘Best & Brightest Idea’ at the Cheshire Hotelier’s Association Ball and a record haul of grapes in our onsite vineyard, this really was the icing on the cake on what has been a fantastic first full year in charge for General Manager, Paul Bayliss MBE.

The awards this year were attended by almost 300 guests ready to celebrate the county’s outstanding achievements in hospitality.  Some of the other representatives at the event included members of Storyhouse (winner of Large Visitor Attraction Of The Year), Cheshire Oaks and Chester Zoo.

With the haul of accolades at Carden Park, you are assured that you are in good hands with our outstanding service, our very own General Manager as Independent Hotelier of the Year and our Chef of the Year, Graham Tinsley MBE. This is further evidence of #teamcarden really going out of their way for your perfect Christmas Party or whether you want a relaxing two or three night festive break with your friends and family.
