About David Llewellyn

Friendly and approachable, David has over 50 years experience as a professional golfer.

As a player, he won 10 tournaments worldwide and held the record of the lowest score on the European Tour for over 30 years. Representing Wales over 50 times in international events, David’s career highlight was winning the 1987 World Cup in Hawaii with partner, Ian Woosnam.

In his coaching career, David has helped 12 professionals qualify for the European tour. They have won over 35 professional tournaments on both the European and Challenge Tours. One player achieved Ryder Cup status, and 7 times players he coached were chosen to play for Great Britain in the Walker Cup. There have also been, in both professional and amateur, national and international events, over 90 victories. David is the only coach to help 2 different players to win the British Boys title.

David has been involved in corporate golf days for many years and his philosophy has always been “one thought at a time and keep it simple”. He is able to help players of all abilities understand things that really matter in improving their game.
