Visit the Roman walled City of Chester. Founded as a fort by the Romans, it is one of the best-preserved walled cities in the UK. It is famous for its contrasting Victorian-restored buildings and how the Grade I listed walls are almost complete. Today, hit the shops as you stroll through The Rows, covered walkways at the first floor which lead to shop entrances, along with more at street level. The Rows‚ is completely unique to Chester and are one of the cities main tourist attractions. During the winter, get into the festive spirit at the free Christmas Markets lining the streets around a grand sparkling tree.

Want to get outdoors? Visit the Grosvenor Park, a Victorian-style ornamental park with beautifully colourful display bedding providing a beautiful backdrop in the summer months.
