StandOut Multimedia sought a reliable, long-term venue partner for one of the UK’s largest event industry networking events – Event Buyers Live (EBL).
After two highly successful years of EBL at Carden Park Hotel, the award-winning countryside conference venue near Chester, StandOut returned in 2024 to celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary. Following the event, StandOut confirmed a three-year partnership with Carden Park, cementing the resort as the home of Event Buyers Live for the foreseeable future.

The Background
EBL – an invite-only networking event – has become a must-attend date in every event professional’s calendar. Built on fostering meaningful connections and sharing innovative ideas within the industry, the 2024 event was planned as a major 10-year anniversary celebration; packed with first-rate pre-arranged meetings, meaningful content, unrivalled networking and memorable entertainment.
It was essential for the venue to not only comfortably accommodate a large number of delegates in a variety of formal and informal settings, but also to provide the “wow” factor for such an important anniversary milestone. StandOut therefore required a large, self-contained venue away from urban distractions, complete with luxury hotel rooms for overnight guests and varied event spaces for one-to-one pre-arranged meetings and activities. High-quality catering
was also essential throughout the action-packed three-day event.
The Event
After the success of the 2022 and 2023 Event Buyers Live at Carden Park, StandOut worked with the hotel’s management and operations teams again to deliver an unforgettable experience for the 10th anniversary.
Setting itself apart from similar events, EBL provided a unique agenda of activities interspersed with productive networking sessions and panel discussions, avoiding a common issue in the industry: exhibition fatigue. Activities included silent yoga, interactive game shows, food and drink tastings, outdoor activities, spa experiences, and – one of the most praised aspects of the event – net-walking. Taking networking conversations on guided walks through the lush Carden Park estate proved highly productive, with delegates enjoying views of the vineyard and sculpture garden while forging meaningful professional connections. In the evening, delegates were treated to an incredible drone light show on the front lawn.
From panel discussions, gala dinners and speeches in Carden Park’s largest venue (the 400-capacity Carden Suite), to intimate networking in the bars, restaurants and smaller meeting rooms across the estate, virtually every space within the hotel was utilised for EBL 2024. This sense of an ‘entire estate takeover’ was reinforced by extensive event branding throughout Carden Park.

The Result
Hosting over 220 delegates, EBL 2024 proved a huge success with attendees, who gave the venue a satisfaction rating of over 90%. Combining world-class facilities, bespoke agendas, culinary excellence and immersive entertainment; the event delivered more than 1,200 high-value meetings and delighted delegates across all three days.
For event buyers or planners seeking a secluded yet fully equipped venue, structured yet flexible meeting formats and exceptional delegate experience management, Carden Park demonstrated its credentials – leading to StandOut signing a three-year agreement to host EBL at the venue until 2027.
