One of the cornerstones of this initiative is our long-standing partnership with Coleg Cambria, one of the UK’s largest and most respected colleges. For nearly 10 years, we’ve worked closely with the college to provide industry-recognised qualifications that not only enhance the skill set of our team but also help them feel valued. Having Coleg Cambria just around the corner is such a great resource which we have always been keen to develop a relationship with.
A standout feature of our training programme is the relationship we maintain with a dedicated Work-Based Learning representative from the catering and hospitality sector. Though external to the hotel, this representative is an integral part of the Carden Park family. With years of experience and a passion for nurturing talent, they ensure that the needs of our learners are met. They work closely with core departments, ensuring the training is aligned with the Carden Park ethos and culture, which is all about excellence and support.
This tailored approach means that the qualifications on offer are flexible. They can start at any time of the year with the duration determined by the governing body of each qualification. With over 20 learners currently taking courses relevant to their roles, we’re proud to say that our team is constantly evolving. What makes the training programmes even more impressive is that it’s open to individuals of all ages and experience levels, as long as the course is directly linked to their job. Importantly, the courses are designed for those who want to pursue them, not just because they have to. It’s all about passion and drive to achieve the qualification.
Learning is made as seamless as possible for our team. All training takes place on-site in our business meeting rooms, ensuring that individuals can learn while remaining engaged in their roles. We provide learners with time within their working hours to complete the courses and their supervisors offer huge support and encouragement along the way. This environment fosters a love for learning and helps our team feel confident in their abilities.
