Pregnancy is a time of change, wonder, and anticipation – but it can also bring new tensions, discomforts and tiredness. Our Nurturing Body Treatment has been carefully created to provide expecting mothers with a safe, soothing experience that eases the body while calming the mind.
This 50-minute ritual is the perfect alternative for guests who are booking one of our packages inclusive of a full treatment. It’s a service our therapists truly cherish delivering – not only because it’s deeply restorative, but because it offers a moment of peace and connection during such a special chapter in life.
From the moment you step into the softly lit treatment room, you are cocooned in warmth. Twinkling starlights shimmer above you while plush towels wrap you securely, ensuring modesty and comfort at all times. Specially designed pregnancy pillows allow you to rest on your side, making every position safe and supportive for mother and baby.
The treatment itself focuses on the back, legs and arms, with a gentle foot cleanse and scalp massage to complete the ritual. Each movement is designed to ease muscular tension, relieve heaviness and restore balance – allowing you to let go and simply unwind.
Enjoying a massage during pregnancy can be wonderfully beneficial when delivered with care and expertise. In this treatment we include:
Back massage helps to relieve the common strains of carrying a growing bump, easing tightness in the shoulders and lower back.
Leg massage not only soothes tired muscles but with the aid of botanical blends, can also encourage healthy circulation and reduce swelling in the feet and ankles.
Arm massage provides comfort for areas that often tighten due to changes in posture, while also offering a subtle sense of lightness and relief.
Scalp massage gives space for deep relaxation, helping to quiet the mind and promote better rest – something every expectant mother deserves.
Each section of the body is treated with care, combining therapeutic touch with the restorative qualities of natural, organic skincare.
We are proud to use Made for Life Organics – a UK brand celebrated for hand-blended, botanical skincare. Their products are as safe as they are effective, ensuring expecting mothers can fully relax knowing their treatment is rooted in natural care.
Soothe and Smooth Leg & Foot Balm – Used on the lower body, this luxurious balm is rich in beeswax to soften and protect the skin, helping to prevent cracked heels. Peppermint and lavender bring calming comfort, while rosemary and eucalyptus work to stimulate circulation and reduce water retention – easing the swelling that so often accompanies pregnancy. With added wheatgerm, naturally high in Vitamin E, it also helps to reduce itchiness and protect against stretch marks.
Restorative Body Balm – During the back massage, the Restorative Body Balm brings deep nourishment through coconut, rosehip, and sunflower oils. This trio, rich in Vitamins C and E, feeds the skin and leaves it supple. Its delicate scent of rose geranium and lemon balances the mind, while Gotu Kola supports skin elasticity and rosehip minimises scarring – both valuable for changing skin during pregnancy.
