This tranquil space has been designed to create a calm and relaxing ambience, enhanced by rich undertones of glamour. Join us in Goldie’s Lounge before entering the restaurant, where all Vines guests will find a complimentary selection of locally sourced chef’s snacks as well as a diverse pre-dinner cocktail menu.
Cocktails in The Vines
Fat washing is a fairly simple way of making your cocktails more interesting and a way of adding more dimension in the form of both texture and flavour. This expression is a blend of extra old rum, brown butter and banana.
The Bloody Mary was invented in the 1920s or 1930s. There are various theories as to the origin of the drink and its name. It has many variants, most notably the Bloody Margaret (gin) or Bloody Maria (tequila). From 1 to 10, how spicy do you like it?
“Dry” is a common cocktail modifier that generally means a heavier proportion of higher-proof spirit to lower-alcohol mixer. In the case of the Martini, this means more gin and less vermouth. Served straight from the freezer.
A white negroni still follows the sweet, bitter and spirit based formula and still uses gin as the main spirit, but instead of red uses a white vermouth and a white bitter instead of Campari.
Clarification (AKA Milk-Washing) is an old method that can massively enhance the quality of your cocktails. We applied this technique to our blend of bourbon, spiced rum, lemon, strawberries and cream. The result is delicious.
The Vines is open for dinner service on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. We welcome both hotel guests and local residents to join us for an exceptional dining experience.
Children aged twelve and over are welcome to dine in the restaurant. Please note that we do not offer a children’s menu, so they may choose from our à la carte or tasting menu options.
For quality and consistency in service, the entire table must select the same menu option – either à la carte or tasting menu.
We encourage a smart dress code for dining in The Vines. Please note that sportswear and trainers are not permitted.
We are pleased to cater to the following dietary requirements: Pescatarian, Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, and Halal. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate vegan or lactose/dairy-free diets at this time. If your dietary needs or religious preferences are not listed here, please feel free to call our team at 01829 731 000 to discuss in more detail.
We do not require a deposit to book your table. However, due to the nature of the venue, we ask for 72 hours’ notice for any cancellations. If cancellations are made with less than 72 hours’ notice, a charge of £35 per person will apply. Please call our team on 01829 731 000 if you need to amend your booking.
We recommend pre-booking your experience before arrival as The Vines can occasionally close at short notice for private events.
