Double Award Nominations for the Hotel Cateys

We have some very exciting news. Two of our brilliant team members have been shortlisted for the 2026 Hotel Cateys! Join us in congratulating Andrea Green, finalist for Revenue Manager of the Year, and Emma Pridding, up for Spa Professional of the Year.

The Hotel Cateys are one of the most prestigious celebrations in UK hospitality, bringing together the industry’s biggest names. In short, it’s a pretty big deal for anyone in hospitality. The awards themselves will be hosted at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on 23rd November and we’re waiting with bated breath for the winners to be revealed

Emma Pridding, Spa Director

Under Emma’s leadership, The Spa at Carden has become one of the UK’s most celebrated destination spas. Some of the spa’s achievements in the last 12 months include:

• Multiple award wins, including global titles at the World Luxury Spa Awards
• Retaining the Five Bubble Luxury Spa Status from The Good Spa Guide
• Over £6 million in annual revenue
• 13% increase in gift voucher sales year-on-year

Emma’s impact goes beyond commercial success, though. She is a true champion of wellness, particularly for people living with cancer. She has developed a close partnership with Made For Life Organics and SATCC to support specialist therapist training. Emma is a firm believer that everyone should have the opportunity to experience spa treatments, especially when they are facing one of the most difficult times of their life. The spa also hosts regular Tea and Therapy sessions for cancer patients. Each session brings together a small group for connection, care and practical ideas for everyday wellbeing. Emma’s work for people living with cancer is a quiet kind of leadership that has made a meaningful difference.

Leading a team of more than 90, Emma has built clear pathways with Armonia Training Academy to support therapists from entry-level qualification right through to specialist and leadership roles. Many on her team have progressed in their roles, taking on more responsibilities and being promoted. Emma has created a strong culture of development but also takes into consideration staff wellbeing. She regularly organises sound baths, yoga sessions and awards evenings, not just for wellness but also for staff morale.

Emma’s commitment extends beyond Carden Park. As a board director of the UK Spa Association, she’s helping to bring the industry together and support its future development.

Andrea Green, Commercial Director

Andrea has been part of Carden Park since its opening in 1997. She has not only witnessed the resort evolving over the years, but she has also played an important role in Carden’s growth and success.

Over the past 12 months, Andrea has overseen:

• An increase in total revenue, exceeding budget by 5%
• £6.5 million room refurbishment of all 197 bedrooms
• £1 million elite football training facilities investment

Andrea has turned these major investments into real commercial results. The bedroom refurbishment and football facilities combined has generated a significant increase in enquiries including from international football teams.

What truly distinguishes Andrea is how she has transformed commercial decision-making across the resort while also taking into consideration the guest journey and experience. Her expertise continues to play an important role in driving sustainable growth and success across Carden Park as we look to the future.

Being shortlisted for 2 Hotel Catey’s is a huge achievement. Emma, Andrea – congratulations on being named finalists. You both thoroughly deserve the recognition for the work you do and the passion you show every day. We’re wishing you the best of luck, and we’ll be cheering you on.
