From 3rd to 5th September 2026, we had the privilege of hosting the 2026 Women’s PGA Cup here at Carden Park, bringing some of the world’s leading female golf professionals to our Cheshire golf courses for three days of international competition.
The Women’s PGA Cup is a biennial international team golf competition organised by the PGA of America, bringing together talented PGA professionals from across the globe to compete for the prestigious title.
This year’s tournament marked a major milestone both in the history of the Women’s PGA Cup and for golf at Carden Park, as we became the first venue outside the United States to host the competition.
Over three days, six international teams – USA, Great Britain & Ireland, Canada, South Africa, Australia and Sweden – competed at Carden Park, showcasing exceptional skill, determination and sportsmanship.
The competition concluded with Team USA claiming their fourth consecutive Women’s PGA Cup title, continuing their impressive record after winning the inaugural event in 2019 and retaining the trophy in 2022 and 2024. The team finished with an outstanding 19-under-par total, 30 shots clear of second place.
Great Britain & Ireland also delivered an impressive performance, producing their best team round on the final day to move into second place. Meanwhile, Team USA’s Sandra Changkija received the Brittany Kelly Medallist honour after recording the lowest individual score of the competition, finishing six under par with a total of 213.
Hosting the 2026 Women’s PGA Cup was a significant moment for Carden Park and an opportunity to showcase championship golf in Cheshire on an international stage. Welcoming players and teams from around the world demonstrated the quality of our facilities and our ability to provide a setting for world-class competition.
We are incredibly proud to have played a part in this historic chapter of the Women’s PGA Cup and to have welcomed the competition to Cheshire for its first-ever tournament outside the United States.
