Originally trained as a jeweller, she seamlessly blends artistic vision with practical craftsmanship, producing sculptures that are both intricate and expressive. While the human form remains central to her work, she also draws inspiration from diverse materials, found objects and evolving techniques. Constantly exploring new artistic avenues, she enjoys merging different mediums, a process that often sparks fresh and unexpected ideas. Ducker’s work is instantly recognisable – delicate yet powerful figures crafted entirely from wire, their forms contorted in expressive postures. With no facial features, these figures rely solely on gesture, stance and flowing, wind-swept hair to convey emotion. Ducker’s sculptures evoke a sense of harmony between strength and delicacy. Each figure tells a different story, yet none are bound by official titles or rigid interpretation.
