The Shimmering Body Treatment

Our Cheshire spa is a hub for indulgent ritual treatments, all equally as relaxing as they are effective for your skin. Amongst our most popular treatments is the Shimmering Body Ritual combining a back massage and renewing exfoliation. You can read more about this amazing treatment below:

What’s involved in the Shimmering Body Ritual? 

After changing into your comforting Carden Robe, relax in our panoramic treatment room ready to be collected by one of our incredibly talented therapists. As you rest on a heated massage bed, under the dimmed, twinkling spotlights of the treatment room your 50-minute treatment will begin; 

  • Firstly, you will partake in a short deep breathing exercise to reset your body ready for your massage, with a choice of uplifting or relaxing essential oils. Followed by a stress-relieving foot cleanse with heated mitts. 
  • Warm pindas will be applied with a welcome touch all over the back of your body in a soothing motion to create a balance in both your mind and body. A truly harmonising experience to help with relaxation. 
  • Your full-back massage will begin with a nourishing oil application. Your therapists will use several smooth pressure techniques intended to release any muscle tension you might be harbouring. Their movements will be customised to your specific requirements intended for the massage, placing additional focus on areas that need stimulating the most. 
  • The dry-oil tonic scrub will then be applied to your whole body, aimed to refine and smooth your skin’s texture. Circular motions will ensure the product is absorbed deeply and you are left with a renewed sparkle. 

 

The Shimmering Body Treatment

 

What are the benefits of the spa products used in the Shimmering Body Ritual?

The two main products using the exfoliation and back massage ritual are from the Germaine De Cappuccini Perfect Forms collection. 

Phytocare Tonic Oil Scrub – the key ingredient of this exfoliator is Baobab Seed Oil, a natural component that is a powerhouse of anti-oxidising vitamins and fatty acids. Its soothing effects are incredible, deeply nourishing your skin, making it more supple and resilient to imperfections. Our spa therapists apply this directly to dry skin ensuring a deeper exfoliation experience. 

Phytocare Firm and Tonic – this luxurious dry body oil is used by our therapists to glide along your body with ease during your back massage. The natural ingredients such as Lupinus Albus Seed Oil and Birch Oil promote the increased production of collagen in your skin. It is both firming and hydrating leaving your skin incredibly soft to the touch. The oil also leaves a sweet citrus scent for you to enjoy for hours beyond your spa treatment.
