During these special half-term days, the zoo will offer a whole host of family-friendly entertainment. Wander through the zoo and discover a vibrant line-up of attractions – from giant pumpkin sculptures, campfire stories, marshmallow toasting and more. For younger explorers aged 5 to 11, a series of school holiday clubs will be running to spark their curiosity about the natural world.

One of the region’s most-loved attractions, the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm is great for a October Half-Term day out – and it’s only a short 20-minute drive from Carden Park. With over 50 delicious flavours to choose from – including favourites like Kinder Bueno, honeycomb, and apple sorbet – there’s something to delight every family member.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Throughout autumn, the farm is also hosting a World of Wizardry Interactive Activity. During selected dates you can expect colourful potion making, magic plant potting and sorcerers studies. For visitors with additional needs, The Icecream Farm also offers dedicated SEN sessions in a safe, calm and inclusive environment – ensuring everyone can join in the fun.

Are you ready for an unforgettable Halloween at BeWILDerwood? A spectacular line-up of events takes over the estate across two exciting weeks just 20-minutes from Carden Park Hotel. The spotlight is on their frightfully fun Halloween activities; including a spooky disco and storytelling stage. As well as fun themed autumnal games. As evening approaches, you can take part in “twig or treating” where you will meet some curious characters along their designted trail.

During the October Half-Term days there will be plenty of opportunity to explore all your favourite activities in the BeWILDerwood woods up until 4.30pm. From whizzing down slippery slides, zooming across the wooden sky mazes and navigating wobbly wires and tricky tunnels.

Erddig Hall

Slightly out of Cheshire you’ll find the beautiful Erddig National Trust park and 18-th century house. Adorned by acres of garden to explore under the bronzed colour trees – you are sure to have some leaf-stomping fun in the great outdoors. From October 25th they are hosting their ‘Noble Beasts’ themed adventures. Inspired by the Hall’s Tribe Room, the hidden creatures will be hidden around the estate just waiting to be discovered.

On October 28th and 30th there is also a special coat of arms designing class for families. Here you will get creative in their education room – which animal will you chose for your own shield? If you plan to visit on Halloween itself the team at Erddig are also hosting several events though they day such as; pumpkin carving, spooky shortbread making and create your own lantern workshops.

Halloween events are back at Tatton Park this October! They have a selection of decorative skeleton displays to find as you walk around – all with creative individual puns to cause a giggle. Your family will also find a classic pumpkin patch so you can dig around and chose the perfect fit for decorating at home together. In between searching for your pumpkin take a moment to visit your favourite farmyard friends including pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, donkey’s and more. Many of which a rare breeds which have been recognised with prestigious awards for conservation.
