Over the past year, our dedicated golf members have raised an incredible £23,791 in support of Guide Dogs.
This remarkable achievement means something truly special: two guide dog puppies will now be sponsored and named by our members – a lasting legacy that will change lives.
In a fitting tribute to our championship courses, the two puppies will be named Cheshire and Nicklaus.
Through the Guide Dogs Name a Puppy initiative, these names will stay with them for life. They will be the very first words they learn and the identity they carry on their journey to potentially becoming life-changing companions.
This achievement has been made possible thanks to the passion and commitment of our golf community, led by Club Captains Michael Goodwin and Anne Jones.
Throughout their captaincy, a series of fundraising activities and events brought members together. Their leadership, alongside the generosity of our members, will help to provide independence, confidence and companionship to those with sight loss who need it most.
Once the donation is processed, we’ll be sharing updates on the puppies’ progress right here on our website, so you can follow every step of their journey.
Members will now be part of the puppies’ journey from birth, through early development and training. Updates and photos will be shared along the way, with the hope of welcoming the puppies to Carden Park once they are ready.
Guide dogs play an extraordinary role in transforming lives. While not every puppy will go on to become a guide dog, each one will find a role where they can make a difference. Whether as a guide dog, buddy dog or part of the next generation of life-changers.

What a day! 🏌️Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting The Beyond Golf Invitational. Over 70 golfers (with some very familiar faces) competed on the Nicklaus Course to claim victory for their team.
